Just one of many uses for a frozen banana

Today was a really tough day for me. Yesterday I managed to pull a muscle in my back at the gym.  It wasn't even doing anything exciting.  It just happened.

So today was an unscheduled rest day.  I have been applying heat to my back as well as taking some ibuprofen.  I really don't want this to carry on hurting so I know I have to take the time out now.  Trust me, all I want to do is go for a run, do some sit ups, lift some weights.  But I have to tell myself this is for my own good.

If anyone else has ever had back pain, you will understand how frustrating it can be.  Feeling completely able bodied,  then just that one twist in the wrong direction and boom.. you are crippled with pain.  So a few days off here (which are well earned by the way!) will do me the world of good.  No matter how angry I am that this has happened.

So back to dinner... Smoothie!  The standard frozen banana, unsweetened soy milk, milled ground flax seeds, phd protein powder, a spoon of peanut butter and a bit of cocoa powder.  I never want this to end!

Matt is off catching up with a mate in Notting Hill so I am home resting on the couch with Duckburt, my laptop, smoothie and perhaps some homemade oat experiment cookies later :)
