Matt's Hummus

This is so easy to make and cheap as well! Really, once you have spent less than 1 pound on chick peas, you can add whatever herbs and spices you have laying around in your kitchen.

I always make sure I save some whole chickpeas for presentation on the top

  •  1 can of chickpeas (drained, however if you want to omit the lemon juice, use some of the chickpea juice)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 dried chilies
  • 1 teaspoon of black peppercorns
  • 2 table spoons of fresh coriander leaves
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons of tahini (you can buy at any Whole Foods or Tesco)
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice

We toasted up some wholemeal pitta bread to dip in this and it was sooo tasty :) Very excited to eat the left overs when I get home tonight
