A brand new week - Bring on November!

I had such a lovely time on the weekend catching up with Michelle on Saturday night for a Halloween Party and then Paul on Sunday for lunch, I really didn't want Monday to come around.
To be honest, I was feeling a little coldy when I woke up as well, but decided to take the bull by the horns and try and push past it.  Sometimes I feel when I start to get sick, that I could let it take over my body or I could fight it.  Well, this time I am fighting it!

 I set my alarm clock to go off at 6am so I could complete this BodyRock.Tv workout.  It was a good call and even though I was slightly sniffy - is there a better way to start the week off?

Breakfast was something a little different for me.  For some reason I opted for a smoothie over my usual breakfast.
  • Sainsburys unsweetened soy milk
  • PHD protein powder
  • Agave nectar
  • Flax seeds (milled)
  • Frozen strawberries and blue berries
  • 1/2 t cocoa powder
I walked to work (in the rain, thanks London!) and got on with things.  By the time lunch came around, I wont lie - I wanted to jump out the window.  It is so busy right now!  However, as per usual, today's arm workout saved the day.

10min on elliptical trainer, random, level 13

4 x 8 reps of tricep press at 10kg + alternate bicep curl at 8kg
3 x 8 reps of tricep pushdown at 21kg + reverse grip tricep pulldown at 28kg
3 x 10 reps of skullcrushers at 10kg
3 x 12 reps of close grip DB bench press at 9kg
4 x 8 reps of incline DB curl at 8kg

Did you know, when I first started lifting, I could only struggle 5kg with my bicep curls?  Now I can get by pretty comfortably with 8kg.  Improvement or what?  That is one of the reasons why I write down all my progress ;)

How do you keep a record of your progress?  Do you enjoy looking back and seeing how far you have come?
