Good morning everyone!
Thank goodness it's Friday ! This week has been yet another long week at work. I don't mind in a way as it is a good distraction from other things going on in my life right now, but I always feel that this close to Christmas the time just flies by and then before you know it we are at the start of yet another new year.
Did anyone else see the moon last night? According to the internet it was a full moon. No wonder I have been feeling a little crazy.
I took this photo on the way home last night. I really wish that my iPhone had captured just how beautiful it was.
Shoulders and abs yesterday at the gym went like this:
10min Cross trainer warm up, Random, Level 13
4 x 8 reps of seated Arnold press with 9kg
4 x 8 reps of seated bent over delt raise with 6kg
4 x 8 reps of front DB raise with 5kg
4 x 8 reps of standing upright row with 10kg
4 x 8 reps of lateral raise with 6kg
4 x 8 reps of reverse flies with 5kg
50 Russian twists, 30 toe touches, 30 bicycle, 50 oblique sit ups and 3 lots of planks with dips.
I was relieved it wasn't legs day again as my left thigh is still sore from the one legged DB squats!
I really need to amp up my Ab routine again. I have been kind of slack with it lately and now going into Winter, I need to be more into abs than ever! This is the festive season and I do like to enjoy my festive treats.
When I got home I had a little play in the kitchen. I took a cookie recipe that I usually refer back to and started adding bits and bobs to it to make it more exciting.
I wont lie. There should have been 6 cookies. I ate two before they even got to the oven! Naughty ;)
The recipe still needs tweaking. I was told that they needed some dark chocolate chips or something a little sweet to make them perfect. Once I have it all sorted out, I will be sure to pass on the recipe!
Do you have "go to recipes" that you always refer back to? What is your favorite cookie flavour?
