There goes another week!

Is it just me or are the weeks flying by?  I can't believe it is Thursday evening already.
Is it because I am nearing 30?  Is it because Christmas is only a matter of weeks away?
What's happening!?

Work has been super stressful this week.  Not enjoying it one bit however, that might have something to do with the cold I have been "ignoring" the last few days.  I took a day off from exercise yesterday just to make sure it wasn't a cold that was planning on sticking around for a week.  Stuff that! I don't want to suffer for a week!

I am not one of those people who is good at being sick.  Really.  When I am sick, you are better off sending me texts than calling or coming over to care for me ;)

Today's workout was a light one.  It felt good to get into the gym (I know I know.... One day off never killed anyone!) and get the muscles moving a little.

Workout
10mins easy elliptical, random, level 13

4 x 8 reps of Arnold press with 9kg
4 x 8 reps of seated bent over delt raise + front DB raise with 5kg
4 x 8 reps of upright DB row with 10kg + lateral raise with 5kg

Lunch was from the work canteen today.  In my sickly haze last night I forgot to get my lunch out of the freezer and even bring it with me.  Doh!  Thankfully, the "salad" at work is only GBP1 and you can choose what you want to put in it.

 

It isnt something that I usually like to tuck into but for one day - it served its purpose.

I grabbed some roasted beetroot, pasta salad, cous cous, chinese noodles, sweet corn, bean salad, shredded carrot, 2 small potato salad bits and some cucumber.


I am looking forward to remembering my own lunch tomorrow.  Hopefully I feel better for the weekend!

How do you cope with being sick?  Do you try and ignore it or do you let it run its course?  Do you have a special tips that work for you?
