My first Saturday at Robbies & decorating the tree!

Saturday morning I woke up feeling nice and rested.  Although my sleep was fairly broken, I think mentally I was a little more relaxed as I didn't have to worry about moving any more.

Also, I got to take these little guys (meet Oscar and Riley!) for a nice walk around my new home.

We went about 2k up the Thames path and then back again.  I wanted to scope out where to run so it was a perfect excuse to have a sticky beak before setting off in beast mode with my iPod.

It wasn't a quick run, but it was most definitely an exciting run. I love exploring around areas of London and to be honest, it is such a beautiful city - even on gloomy days like today.

Overall, I was fairly happy with my pace and the distance.  Can't wait to tackle this again on the weekend.

When I got home I was pretty hungry!  I served up my usual breakfast of oats, flax seeds, peanut butter, soy milk and agave nectar to nibble on wolf down while I caught up on some blogging things.

I had to make my way up to North London again to take my wardrobe from my old flat into storage.  On the way I couldn't resist going into Whole Foods in Camden for a snack of pumpkin pie and coconut water.  The agave nectar was for home :)

What tasty things do you carry in your bag on the weekend :)

Saturday night we started to put up the Christmas decorations.  This guy was one of my faves.

Until this little one stole my heart :)

Ta da!  Our completed Christmas tree.  Doesn't it look beautiful?

I will be posting this recipe for Eggnog that we used (if you like creamy cocktails, this is a must!).  It was very tasty and we tried to make it as "healthy" as possible.  Apparently in the USA you can buy loads of different types of eggnog (low fat, low calorie, non alcoholic etc) but over here there is just one carton of it.  So why not make your own :)

Have you guys put your trees up yet? How do you usually celebrate the festive season?
