Jamie Eason's LiveFit trainer Phase 2 - Day 30, 31 & 32

Oh hi there!  This week has been crazy busy.  Work is mental right now and I am under loads of pressure to get things done, and get them done correctly.  The time that I spend in the gym each day has become, once again, a god send! I am so lucky to have that time and facility at work.

Following on from my awesome start to the week on Monday, Janine and I decided to go into work early to get some cardio done and out of the way before work started.
Tuesday WOD
30mins cardio elliptical trainer before work

Lunch time lifting
5mins treadmill warm up, incline
Wide grip BB bench press
Push ups (congrats to Janine for completing her first push ups on her toes! Go girl!)
Cable cross over
Side to side push ups
 Ab work and planks

I was also lucky enough to be given this awesome pair of shoes from work last week.  I have been rocking them all week.  They just make every outfit suddenly look cool.  Even when you are just wearing leggings and a baggy T shirt.  And really, we all know how much I hate putting in effort with clothes :)  Winning!

Wednesday WOD
5mins rower warm up

Leg extensions
Wide leg BB squat
Leg press
One legged lunges, raised leg
BB step ups
Plie DB squat
Seated calf raises

Roughly 10mins additional cardio/HIIT at the end with lots of leg stretches
(for some reason at the end of this workout I was super hyperactive and needed some more! Hence, the quick HIIT after.  Burpees, mountain climbers etc.  It felt awesome!)
Now this is what I call relaxation.  I treated myself to a bath when I got home.  Ahhhhh.... I have never had as many baths before, than in the flat that we are in now.  Something about the bath just makes me want to use it all the time. What a luxury!

Thursday WOD
7mins treadmill warm up

BB curl
Cable bicep curl
Alternate hammer curl
Tricep dips
Seated tricep press
Tricep push down
Ab work

I feel so comfortable at the gym these days. Even when taking sneaky pics in the weights room like a girl haha.

After work Zwow #6
Funny, I managed to get this done today even though I washed my hair last night.  I tend to wash my hair once per week, because I am lazy and I just have always hated washing my hair.  So usually, when I wash and style my hair, I try to avoid doing heavy cardio for at least a few days afterwards.  I don't want to ruin my hair with sweat right away....  BUT today was different and I didn't mind the sweat too much.  Wow.  Am I changing?  Perhaps I am just SUPER MOTIVATED RIGHT NOW!

I completed 5 rounds and 6 pulse plyo jumps.
I am not sure how I managed to complete this so fast as my legs were burning sooo much from legs day!  Even the jumps in the burpees almost made me cry.

Dinner was a massive and epic smoothie with frozen banana, soy milk, diet whey powder, peanut butter, cocoa powder and some agave nectar :)  This has to be my favourite smoothie. What is yours?

Jamie Eason's LiveFit trainer - Phase 2 Day 29 & Zwow 5

Happy Monday!  Kidding.  If you had to go to work for 9am this morning, it was quite possibly not a happy Monday.

This is a run down of my weekend.  Friday night a few of us got a Groupon deal to London Zoo for the Zoo Lates experience.  It was really nice and a great change of pace for us.  We did of course go for a drink in The Black Heart afterwards, but not before this pic was taken.

Here I am being an cheeky monkey with an old work mate Leah.  Epic.  I look so stoked!

Then something strange happened.  I literally did not get out of bed all day on Saturday.  Not a word of a lie.  Allll day on Saturday I was flat out exhausted in bed.

Sunday I woke up and forced myself to go for a jog/walk to at least get some fresh air.  I managed one loop of the park at a basic walking pace.  It took me around 30mins to do something I can usually knock out in 20mins.  I came home, changed my bed sheets, had a shower and then hopped back into bed.  I was knackered!  I have no idea what was wrong with me... but I feel much better today.

I would like to make a special shout out to Michelle for making me dinner and bringing my washing in while I was flat out in bed.  Watching Game of Thrones.  I'd do anything to stay in bed watching that, really :)

So I was a bit nervous about waking up on Monday. I didn't know if I would still feel like rubbish or not.  The first half of the day was definitely a bit touch and go, but true to form I sucked it up and got on with things.

Monday WOD
5mins warm up on rower
10mins treadmill while waiting for all the guys to finish taking their sweet time on the machines and in the weights room.  So frustrating, but stuff it.  I dealt with it!

Wide Grip overhand pull ups
Back extensions
Bent over BB row
One handed DB row
Ab work

For lunch Janine and I decided to go for the soup.  I had tomato and fennel while Janine had mushroom and something or other.  It looked a bit murkey, so I decided to stick with what looked like it said it was supposed to be.

When I got home, I was feeling good - bring on Zwow #5.

I managed to complete 5 rounds less 2 burpees, which was pretty close to Zuzana's score.  YAY!  I did the 2 burpees anyways, regardless of the time just to prove to myself I could give it my allll.

Video for this workout can be found HERE.

While working out I noticed the strangest thing.  I have so many pink workout things.  Whether its clothing, equipment or shoes... I love my pink. Even my old boxing gloves used to be pink.  Get the feeling I am trying to prove something here right?

Anyways, I am off for dinner.  How good does this look?  Nut cutlet, 2 tiny potatoes and veggies.  Nom nom nom.  I feel awesome right now!

Getting back into it.. Slowly

Soooo.... Hi there!  A lot has been happening the last 2 weeks while I have been M.I.A.
  • I was sick with a severe upper respiratory tract infection the week before the long weekend.
  • Michelle's Birthday was the Friday starting off the long weekend.  Awesome night out at a pub in Camden.
  •  We cooked an epic tofu, veggie, egg noodle and sweet chili stir fry.

  • 3 days back at work and a change in my personal life = motivation slump.  I believe I managed to go for one run and one lifting session during those 3 days.
  • We did the Alternative London tour through East London (where we used to live).  It was epic and the street art is so interesting.  If you live in London, I suggest you get on that tour.  It is "free" and you just donate what you can afford or think it was worth at the end.  Our tour guide was awesome as well.

  • We went to go and see Blink 182 at the o2 in London

  • This Monday just gone was a work trip to Paris.  Happy days, but not the best start to the week - drinking beers on the EuroStar home.
Soooo... here I am, starting my week on Tuesday with a BANG.

Tuesday WOD
20mins elliptical trainer - 10min warm up then 10min interval

3 sets of 12 reps for the below exercises
Wide grip lat pull down & underhand pull down & mountain climbers as active rest
DB curl & tricep DB overhead
Seated calf raise & leg press

Then, a nice long stretch with the help of my trainer at the gym.  At one point, I swear I felt my spine crack allll the way up.  I am totally a new woman.  462 Kcal were burnt during this workout :)

I still feel like I am in a bit of an emotional slump, so when I came home I crawled into bed and watched The Walking Dead.  Couldn't sleep (probably since I was in bed laying down so early) and was basically awake all night.  Oops.  Lesson learned.

Wednesday WOD
10mins treadmill warm up - incline 2 or 3

3 sets of 8 reps for the below exercises
Laying leg press & jumping jacks
Leg extensions & mountain climbers
Dead lifts & single raised leg lunges
Seated calf raise & leg press
Sit ups

After work I felt like I needed something more.  I am a woman on a mission this week.  So I went for a run.  You can see how I was motivated to get dressed, but not out the door HERE.

I did the usual 2 laps around the park (had to walk a few times since my fitness is AVERAGE).  On the second lap around I did park bench jumps.  10 on the first bench, jog to the next, 9 on the next bench and so on until I reached 1 for the last bench.

That was knackering but I totally plan to be able to do that as part of a non stop jogging routing by the end of the month.

Now, Michelle is making dinner and the smell and sight of it is literally making my mouth water (thatswhatshesaid).  Veggie lasagne.  OMG. Nom nom nom.  Pics to follow for sure!

I hope you are all having a good week :)
