Run and Zwow #2

Isn't it funny how some people just want the time to go faster, to either get to the weekend or get to a certain date that they are aiming for?  Well, right now I want the time to slow dowwnnnn.  It feels like only yesterday when I posted about my last workout, when it was nearly a week ago.

Within that time, I have now become a fully fledged member of Atticus.  My workload is massive and you would think that working from home, I might be able to relax a little.  No way!  Each day I worked last week, I barely even got up to go to the bathroom.  I need to get into a routine, where I start work on time and finish work on time.  It is funny how when you wake up and are up and around - the laptop just calls for you at 8am. I have probably spent double the amount of time working last week than I ever did in a week at Lacoste.  Time to slap my wrists.... STOP OVER DOING IT!

Ok, lecture is over and now for the fun stuff.

This was my running outfit for Thursday.  It's funny, since I was wearing this top I actually felt like I needed to run twice as fast around people.  I didn't want anyone to think that "running like a girl" involved running slowly, so I picked up the pace a little bit.  It was nice to have that push.

Thursday WOD
Hill run with sprints
10 x 5 burpees
10 x 5 bench jumps

42mins in total and I burnt 584 Kcal during this workout.
I bumped into Michelle while she was on the way out the door to work and she basically looked at me and went "ewwwwww you're so sweaty!".  Well yes, yes I am!  I was pretty happy with my newly included burpees into this hilly run.  Next time I might even try and go for 10 of each... Hmmmm.. How crazy can I go?

Friday WOD

5 man makers
20 low burpee hops
10 twisted push ups
25 comp sit ups

Repeat the above circuit 3 times.  This is a time challenge so you need to write down how long it took you.  

My time today was 13min 44seconds and I burnt 200Kcal.

*I don't have dumbbells at home so I had to improvise using my sandbag.  I completed 1 push up, kissed my sandbag, then completed a clean and press with it.
I also used my sandbag for the sit ups.  Man, what a burn!
This was my outfit for a quick visit to our new office in Central on Thursday afternoon.  I stuck around and had some beers with our new friends and my boss.  It was really nice and the weather was perfect for the typical "London drinking on the sidewalk".

Friday night I met up with Janine and some other old Lacoste mates for a farewell.  It was really nice to see everyone, even though it had only been a week or so since I left. I love just being down the road.  It means that I can catch up with everyone (especially Janine) and it will be easy.

Speaking of Janine, she came over on Saturday to watch Jackass with me and eat some pizza!  It was so nice to see her and have a yarn as we always do.  We are so lucky that we live just a small bus trip away from each other.

Sunday I went for lunch with Michelle, her dad, dads partner, sister and sisters friend.  It was lovely and I ate everything I could get my hands on.  It's funny, I always seem to crave hot meals.  I totally put that down to not having access to a microwave at Lacoste.  All my lunches for 2 years were basically cold or room temperature.  Now I have a craving for a nice hot, home style cooked meal.  So I had chili!  It wasn't as good as my chili, but it was a pretty close second.

So now it is Monday already and I am super busy at work again. To be honest, when I am done with the day, I don't really feel like sitting down and typing out a blog post.  I might have to try and post once a week or something like that.  I want to really put effort into my blogging, but I don't want it to become a chore.  I know some of you feel the same way.  I want to keep the love alive and of course, keep up with the work outs.... so I think there will be some changes in the future.  I will keep you posted.  Anyways, hope you all have a good week.  Monday is officially over ;)
